About Upton Microphones
Upton microphones has been developing the manufacturing, assembly and tuning process of the famous AKG CK12 capsule for about the last three and a half years. We have also been developing manufacturing and assembly processes on the two most famous microphones that utilize this capsule, the AKG C12 and the Telefunken Ela M 251.
We make all of our own parts for these microphones in our own machine shop. We also wind our own transformers for these mics. We plan to upload videos of some of the machining and assembly processes we incorporate in the manufacture of our capsules, transformers and microphones in the near future.
